Hello, and welcome to Issue 35 of Wave Magazine!
As the nights start to draw in, it’s time to start thinking about the Autumn, and dare I say it, Christmas? Whilst you might not want to think about this too much, you can at least start marking your diaries with what’s happening at Waverley over the next few months.
Autumn is always a busy time of the year with Halloween, Bonfire Night and Remembrance Sunday coming up, so check out what’s happening from the Events team and the Winter Green to celebrate these events. And of course, the Christmas Tree Light Switch on in early December!
Waverley Community Council have some dates for the diary too. If you are interested in learning more about the defibrillators, they are offering some training sessions in December. They also share some useful information for both new and existing residents on who to contact for various things in and around Waverley.
It’s been a busy time on the development front at Waverley, and you can get the lowdown on what’s happening with the skate park, Olive Lane, and the school square in the latest update from Harworth Group. I was honoured to be part of the official opening of the skate park, with Ed Clancy OBE pulling some stunts for children of Waverley Junior Academy (check out the front cover photo, courtesy of JL Creative Vision / Harworth Group) for a fantastic action shot!
For the Cricketers amongst you, check out the season review from Waverley Cricket Club.
