Hello, and welcome to Issue 32 of Wave Magazine, your go-to source for all the latest news and happenings in and around the Waverley community!
As we head into the summer months, there are plenty of exciting events and developments to look forward to, including the upcoming Waverley fun day on 24th June.
Another event on the horizon is Harworth Group’s public consultation about Olive Lane on 30th May, which will give residents the opportunity to have their say on this important development. After the consultation we should be in a position to share the plans in more detail, along with CGIs, and an update on Highwall Park. I would urge all residents who want to find out more and voice their opinions to attend this event, which is taking place at the AMP Technology Centre across the road on the business park.
We also have feedback from the Waverley Community Council on the recent annual residents meeting, providing a valuable insight into the concerns and opinions of the local community.
As the new Marriott Hotel prepares to open its doors later this summer, we take a closer look at what to expect from this exciting new addition to the Waverley landscape. And we have the latest news and updates from the Waverley Cricket Club, keeping you up to date with their progress and achievements on the pitch.
Finally, don’t miss our fascinating article delving into Waverley’s geological past, uncovering some of the secrets and mysteries behind where we live and what the landscape was like in its former life as Orgreave Colliery.
As always, a big thank you to everyone who has got involved in this issue of Wave, your support is always appreciated! If you would like any further info about featuring your news or business in Wave Magazine, please drop us a line to hello@wavemagazine.co.uk
