Wow! Another year is passing in the blink of an eye, but before then we have Christmas to look forward to where hopefully our readers will be able to have some much needed downtime to celebrate with family and friends over the festive period.

It’s always a busy time of year, especially the run up to the big day, and there’s lots of family focused activities happening in and around Waverley to squeeze into your diaries. We have the annual Waverley Christmas Tree Light Switch-On, taking place on Sunday 4th December, and Santa himself will be paying us a visit not once (or twice) but three times on 11th, 13th, and 14th December, so hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities for children to meet him and feel the excitement of before the school holiday’s start.

To help get you in the mood further, we have Christmas themed film and music reviews in this issue. Nothing beats planning your TV viewing at this time of year whilst blasting out some timely tunes!

On to more serious news, the latest update from magazine sponsor Harworth Group sheds some light on the developments on Olive Lane. There’s been a lot of frustration over the speed of progress here, but we’re edging closer to hearing about some exciting announcements in the New Year.

Waverley Community Council provide their latest update as well, where they are tackling speeding issues on Highfield Lane and around the school, which will be music to everyone’s ears.

As a community magazine, we want to ensure that we’re bringing you news from as many groups as we can. If you have anything you would like to share for any groups, projects, or initiatives you are involved in please drop us a line!

Thank you to everyone who has got involved in this issue of Wave, your support is always appreciated. If you would like any further info about featuring in Wave Magazine, please drop us a line to brendan@wavemagazine.co.uk.

Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
