Hello, and welcome to the Christmas 2025 issue of Wave Magazine.
There is a real festive buzz around Waverley as the community comes together for one of the most anticipated events of the year. The Waverley Christmas Tree Light Switch On takes place on Saturday 6 December at Olive Lane, bringing music, stalls, Santa’s grotto and plenty of seasonal cheer. It is set to be a brilliant afternoon for families and a great way to celebrate Christmas on our growing high street.
Olive Lane itself continues to evolve, with new openings on the horizon. Serve, a cosy new café, and Mono Malo, a tapas restaurant, are both set to join the line up soon. The Waverley Community Hub is also reaching its final stages and is expected to open in the new year. It is exciting to see these additions take shape as they will bring even more life to the heart of Waverley.
We also share an update on the Medical Centre, which is preparing for its early 2026 opening. Residents can now register their expression of interest, and the team at Gateway Primary Care CIC are encouraging anyone keen to join to get in touch using the details provided inside this issue.
Another highlight this month is the reopening of The Winter Green following a major refurbishment. With new spaces, upgraded facilities and a refreshed atmosphere, it is ready to welcome guests back just in time for the festive season.
As always, we have packed this issue with community stories, local updates and a Christmas twist on our film reviews to help you get into the spirit of the season.
Thank you to our readers and advertisers for your continued support throughout the year. From all of us at Wave Magazine, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
