Welcome to our summer 2022 issue!

We’re right in the middle of the summer holidays now, so I hope all our readers have been able to have some rest and relaxation and are enjoying any time off with friends and family. Summer is always a busy time for Waverley with everyone seemingly in planning mode for the remainder of the year.

There’s lots to look forward to on the social calendar for residents as we launch this year’s Scarecrow Festival in September. All the info, along with details of how to enter are on pages 10 and 11.

There’s always plenty of construction work going off at Waverley, and we have updates about the latest residential developments, along with the hotel and Learn to Ride Bike Track from magazine sponsor, Harworth, on page 4.

Along with the latest from Waverley Community Council on page 9, and some exciting announcements from Waverley Junior Academy on page 32, we also want to share what your local Junior Football teams are up to!

Waverley Wanderers FC have teams across many age groups who will be starting their new seasons soon. You can read all about the exciting things they are doing (in addition to winning games of football) on pages 22 and 23. A big shout out to all the sponsors of the teams for providing much needed funding to enable the teams to operate!

As a community magazine, we want to ensure that we’re bringing you news from as many groups as we possibly can. If you have any news you would like to share for any groups, projects, or initiatives you are involved in please drop us a line!

Thank you to everyone who has got involved in this issue of Wave, your support is always appreciated. If you would like any further info about featuring in Wave Magazine, please drop us a line to brendan@wavemagazine.co.uk.
