Medical Centre

The NHS have advised that they are working towards a summer opening of the Olive Lane Medical Centre. This will be a great addition to Waverley and Olive Lane. We are now working with a potential pharmacy occupier to complement the medical centre and complete the occupation of Olive Lane.

Highwall Park

Highwall Park is progressing well with phase 1 set to open in April, and phase 2 will follow in the Summer. The play area is designed to feel like an extension of the natural landscape, with wooden play equipment and natural materials used where possible. We hope that everyone will enjoy this new family facility.

Parking at and around Olive Lane

We have recently installed signage on parts of Stephenson Way and Lescar Road due to the issues arising from parked vehicles on this part of the road. All areas are clearly signposted.

Enforcement is now live; any vehicles parked on or near the signed areas will be fined and there will be no exemptions. Please read the signs carefully. We encourage drivers to park in either the Olive Lane car park or the overflow car park at the bottom of Stephenson Way. It is still free to park in both car parks for 2.5 hours.

Despite the ample parking that has been provided, we have had no choice but to enforce parking in these areas due to the problems parking here has caused other residents, Olive Lane visitors and buses, which on a number of occasions have not been able to get through on their usual route. 

We are currently working with Excel Parking to amend the parking limitations at both car parks to allow for additional paid parking, and as soon as we have a go-live date for this, we will communicate this out.
