What a great day the Waverley Fun Day was! We wanted to give a huge shout out to Waverley Community Council and Waverley Junior Academy for helping to put together the event.

We will be running the Christmas event again this year but we have really struggled putting events together for the last couple of years. So we thought we would introduce you to the committee.

Kate Stark has lived on Waverley since 2014 and was a founding member of the Events Committee. As well as the Events team, Kate also volunteers with the local baby group at the Winter Green, within the local Church (the Rivers Team) and is a governor at Waverley Junior Academy. On top of all of this, she runs her own business helping families save money.

Julie Barringer has lived in Waverley since 2015 and has been involved in the Events since the beginning too. She also has multiple other voluntary roles predominantly within the local church (The Rivers Team) as well as working with recently bereaved families and invigilating exams.

Les Ling also moved onto Waverley in 2015. Les has an accounts background and a full time job in accounts making him the perfect person to keep on top of the money from the accounts.

Arthi is the final member of the team, she is currently on maternity having just had a gorgeous baby!

As you can see the majority of the work is currently being done by two people which is why we will be leaving more of the planning next year to the community council.
