The recent campaign to ‘Save the Leadmill’ highlighted an import issue. If there is a future for live music, it has to start somewhere. So this edition aims to shine a light on the awesome local live music scene and the small venues that are hosting the stars of the future, not to mention a shedload of great live music. Check these places out!

The Greystones

The Backroom at The Greystones pub remains a great night out with a regular flow of live bands of different genres.

The Lescar

Jazz, Blues, Folk and comedy can be found at this popular Sharrow location.

The Church House

A packed schedule of Metal, Hard Rock and Blues behind the Cathedral in Sheffield.

A quirky mainstay of Blues, Roots & Americana and a truly hip bar on the Victoria Quays.

Sidney & Matilda

A great night out and a firm favourite for up and coming local Indie/Alternative bands.

Delicious Clam

A sparse but delightful DIY venue in the up and coming Castlegate area.

Lughole

The even cooler Kelham Island is home to this DIY Punk project.
