Bringing the community together
It’s been a brilliant few months at Waverley, with a highlight being the community enjoying Olive Lane.
Thanks to those who attended our launch event in May. Over 1,000 of you came together to spend an evening in the sunshine and celebrate the opening of the new high street which is already a much-loved addition to Waverley.
In the coming months, more businesses will be opening their doors including Little Olives Nursery which is planning to open in July and Karobar which is looking to launch in August.
We’re very pleased to say that an independent bar called The Canary will be arriving at Olive Lane later in the summer, along with a restaurant called Wingers and an independent café. These will provide more spaces for those living and working at Waverley to come together and socialise.
We will keep the community updated as occupiers for the remaining commercial units are confirmed.

Landscaping begins at Highwall Park
We are making great progress on the creation of Highwall Park, the new 20-acre green space that will run through the heart of Waverley.
As residents will know, over the last year Harworth has been preparing the land for the development of the park including delivering earthworks and drainage works and installing the footpaths. We are pleased to now be at a stage where landscaping is beginning.
Alongside trees, foliage, ponds and lakes which have been designed to attract local wildlife, the park will have footpaths for walking, running and cycling, picnic areas, and dedicated sports and play spaces.
Highwall Park will be developed in three phases, and the intention is for the first to open to the community later this year. As works progress, we would like to remind residents that the land is not yet accessible and remains a construction site. For the safety of the community and those working on site, please do not attempt to enter the site.
