Festivities at Olive Lane
Harworth is pleased to support Waverley’s Christmas light switch on, taking place on Saturday 6 December at Olive Lane (starting at 4.30pm).
This will be an opportunity to get together as a community and celebrate Christmas for the first time on our new high street.
For the children Santa will be there in his grotto, with one of his cheeky elves also visiting Olive Lane.
A brass band and a range of food and drink options, including a pop up by Serve, an independent cafè opening soon on Olive Lane, means there is something for everyone. We cannot wait to get together as a community for an evening of festive fun and hope to see many of you there!
Though Olive Lane is an exciting new home for our festivities, that doesn’t mean Central Park will miss out on the fun. Harworth will be providing two Christmas trees at Waverley this year, with one located at Olive Lane and the other at the previous location in Central Park.
New year, new openings
As well as the new café, Serve, which plans to open in the new year, we are pleased to share that tapas restaurant Mono Malo is working hard to open in the coming months. We hope to provide more details soon.
Excitingly, Waverley Community Hub is now finished and will be opening in the new year. It will be run by Waverley Community Council and more information on this can be found within the Community Council’s article.
We are so excited to see Olive Lane growing in this way, with a real variety of offerings and look forward to enjoying it with the community for years to come.
As a reminder, Olive Lane’s car park is open for use, and we encourage people to use it. The overflow car park is now almost complete. However, we are waiting for electricity supply and some small works to be done before it can be opened.
Harworth’s Communities Fund
Our upcoming Christmas event and openings contribute towards our growing and unique community at Waverley. However, this community would be nothing without you.
To support residents doing good in their communities, we are pleased to share details of our Communities Fund. This offers residents across all Harworth developments the chance to bid for up to £2,000 to support local initiatives.
To begin the application process, simply scan the QR code provided. Those bids that meet the criteria of our fund will be put through for a second round of analysis. We look forward to supporting projects which are important to Waverley.

What else is on at Waverley?
Christmas is starting early in Waverley this year. On Saturday 29 November at around 11am in Central Park, Waverley Community Council will be dressing the Christmas tree gifted to the community by Harworth. All are welcome to attend to help decorate the tree and meet their Community Council.
