Highwall Park vandalism
We are disappointed to advise that the play area at Highwall Park remains closed due to continuing acts of vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
Since the initial closure, further incidents have occurred which have caused damage to equipment and prevented the safe reopening of the facility. These actions not only impact the play area itself but also deprive local children and families of a valued community asset.
The safety of all visitors remains our highest priority, and we will not reopen the play area until we are satisfied that it is safe to do so.
We would like to remind all residents that anti-social behaviour and vandalism are criminal offences. If you witness any suspicious activity, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour within Highwall Park, please report it directly to the police via:
- 999 if a crime is taking place or there is an immediate risk to people or property.
- 101 for non-emergency incidents.
- Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
Prompt reporting from members of the public is essential in helping the authorities identify those responsible and prevent further incidents.
We appreciate the support and patience of the local community while we work with the relevant authorities to address these ongoing issues and restore the play area for everyone’s enjoyment.
Further updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
Further recognition for the Advanced Manufacturing Park
A proud moment for Harworth as the Advanced Manufacturing Park receives even more national recognition. Speaking at The Labour Party Conference, Chancellor John Healey described the AMP as “one of the most concentrated areas of innovation anywhere in Britain.”
He also highlighted the story of AMRC apprentice Sean Delaney – a great example of the next generation of engineering talent being developed right here in the region. The AMP is Harworth’s home, and we’re proud of the role it continues to play in bringing together advanced manufacturing, research, skills and innovation.
