We’re excited to share some good news — Wave Magazine is now officially a carbon balanced print publication!

Thanks to our fantastic printers at Northend, we now balance the carbon emissions created during printing. From this issue, you’ll see the Carbon Balanced Print logo on our pages. It’s a small but meaningful step in our journey to grow Wave with the environment in mind.

We’re also using this moment to invite our readers to share local stories. If you’re involved in a sustainability project, we’d love to hear from you.

What does ‘carbon balanced’ mean?

Carbon balancing calculates the CO₂ emissions from printing. Those emissions are then offset through certified environmental projects.

These projects may protect endangered forests, support renewable energy, or restore natural habitats. By taking part, we reduce the impact of producing each magazine while still delivering a high-quality print to your door.

Why it matters to us

Wave is more than a magazine — it’s a platform for our community. Looking after the environment is part of caring for the people who live here.

Moving to carbon balanced print is one step toward growing sustainably without losing sight of what matters most. Every action counts. This change helps us make a positive difference, and we’re proud to do it with a local, eco-conscious partner.

A greener future for Wave Magazine

We’ll keep finding ways to reduce our environmental footprint. That includes greener printing, responsible sourcing, and supporting local sustainability projects.

We also want to highlight the people making a difference in our community. Are you involved in a local sustainability project or eco-friendly initiative? Do you have a story about creating positive change? Share it with us — we might feature it in a future edition of Wave.

Spot the logo, support the cause

Next time you pick up Wave Magazine, look for the Carbon Balanced Print logo. It’s a sign that, together, we’re helping to make a difference.
