We grew up just a stone’s throw away, and have witnessed the remarkable transformation of the area from the industrial days of Orgreave Mine to the thriving neighbourhood it is today. Inspired by that journey, we couldn’t resist becoming part of the Waverley story – and The Canary was born.

Supporting fellow independents is at the heart of our ethos. You can look forward to a rotating line up of local food pop-ups, bringing everything from gourmet street eats to comforting classics right to Olive Lane’s doorstep. We’re also hatching plans for a lively calendar of events – think quiz nights, DJ sets, cocktail masterclasses, paint-and-sip evenings, and even a resident magician.
