The April community-led litter-picks will be on the weekend of 20th – 21st April and monthly thereafter (to be advised).  Equipment will be provided!

We’ll meet at the Superbin / Community Garden on the corner of Highfield Lane and Lescar Road at 11:30 am on the Saturday and at 10:30 on the Sunday. Two tidy-ups to accommodate volunteers’ differing availability.

These events are a good opportunity to meet and chat with fellow residents whilst tidying up our local area(s). What’s worked well has been that we can stay together as a group and blitz a wider area without falling over each other and/or set off in different directions to cover a number of different routes/paths.

Bags of litter can then be grouped and left in van-accessible places for the LoveWhereYouLive team to pick them up within a working day or two.  (A What3Words location with photo can be emailed to the LoveWhereYouLive team to organise collection).

We have a community litter-pickers WhatsApp group to make comm’s easy and failsafe.

To join this group, your mobile number is all that is needed for an invitation – feel free to text 07305 943440 to express an interest in getting involved.
