As summer draws to a close and the seasons begin to change, many businesses start reviewing their plans for marketing and advertising for the months ahead.

September often feels like a fresh start. Customers return from summer holidays, routines begin again and businesses turn their attention towards autumn, Christmas and the new year.

But have you considered how the change of season will impact your adverts in the coming months? September could be a valuable time to consider when and how you are advertising for the rest of the year

Is There a Best Time to Advertise?

The answer to that is, Yes! And no!

Whilst there is no magic month of advertising that will suit every business, there are advertising peaks that hit different businesses and industries at different times of the year.

For lots of companies, the best time to advertise is immediately before their busiest season. For others, advertising consistently throughout the year is more effective because customers may need their services at any time.

Some great examples of this could be how outdoor services such as landscapers or gardeners should be conscious to focus their advertising efforts in the spring months, to prepare for the busy summer season ahead. Meanwhile, an accountant could increase their visibility before important tax deadlines, and a plumbing business may find they benefit from consistent advertising to be ready when local residents need their services.

In general, the right timing should be based on when your customers are most likely to need your products or services, rather than simply when you have something to sell.

Why is September a Good Time to Review Your Advertising?

September marks a noticeable change in pace for many households and businesses.

School terms restart, people return to work after summer breaks and attention begins to shift towards the final months of the year. This creates new opportunities for businesses to reconnect with their audience.

Advertising in early autumn can help you:

Reintroduce your business after the summer period

Promote autumn products or services

Generate enquiries before Christmas

Encourage early festive bookings

Build awareness ahead of January

Remain visible while customers settle back into their routines

Starting early also gives customers time to consider their options. Waiting until the height of a busy season may mean competing with more advertisers and reaching people after they have already made a decision.

Planning Autumn Advertising? Consider Your Customers’ Buying Cycle

One of the most important factors to consider when advertising is how long customers take to make a decision.

Some purchases are made quickly. A customer may see an advert for a café, takeaway or local event and respond almost immediately.

Other services require more consideration. Someone looking for a mortgage adviser, solicitor, builder or accountant may research several providers before making contact.

The longer the buying process, the earlier your advertising should begin.

Think about the journey your customer takes:

They become aware of your business.

They learn more about your services.

They compare their options.

They decide whether to make an inquiry.

They become customers or clients.

Advertising at the right time, before your busiest season, gives people time to move through these stages without feeling rushed.

Match Your Advertising to Seasonal Demand

Seasonal advertising allows you to align your message with what customers are thinking about at a particular time of year.

Some seasonal advertising windows across the year could include:

Autumn: As temperatures fall and evenings become darker, customers may start thinking about heating, home maintenance, indoor activities, health, education and preparing their property for winter.

Christmas: Businesses can promote festive menus, events, gifts, appointments, experiences and seasonal services. Advertising early is particularly important for businesses with limited availability.

New Year: January campaigns can focus on fresh starts, financial planning, fitness, recruitment, home improvements and business growth.

Spring and Summer: Warmer months create opportunities for gardening, property maintenance, weddings, days out, hospitality, travel and outdoor events.

Remember, your advertising does not always need to mention the season directly, but don’t miss out on valuable growth by letting that calendar collect dust!

Factors to Consider When Advertising

Before deciding when to advertise, consider the following factors.

Your Business Objectives: Are you trying to generate immediate enquiries, promote an event, launch a new service or build general awareness? A short-term offer may require a focused campaign, while brand awareness benefits from regular exposure.

Your Busiest Periods: Review previous sales and enquiry patterns. Identify when demand increases and when customers usually begin researching or booking.

Your Customers: Consider your customers’ routines, priorities and spending habits. Think about what they may need during each season and how far ahead they plan.

Your Capacity: Advertising can increase demand, so make sure you have the time, stock or availability required to respond to new enquiries.

Your Budget: Decide whether your budget would be better used on one large advert or a series of smaller placements. Consistent advertising across several issues may create more recognition than a single appearance.

How to Create an Effective Seasonal Advert

Good timing will only take your campaign so far. Your advert also needs a clear message and professional design. An effective local magazine advert should explain:

What your business offers

Why the offer is relevant now

Who the service is for

Where your business operates

How customers can contact you

What action they should take next

Avoid including too much information. Readers should be able to understand the main message quickly.

Seasonal imagery can help attract attention, but it should still reflect your wider brand. Keep your logo, colours and style consistent so people can recognise your business across your adverts, website and social media.

Wave Magazine offers complimentary graphic design for advertisers booking space in two or more issues, helping businesses create professional artwork that communicates their message clearly.

Promoting a small business does not always require a large marketing budget. Often, the most effective approach is to focus on your local area, build familiarity and make it easy for nearby customers to discover what you offer.

Whether you are launching a new venture or looking to grow an established local business, using a mixture of online and offline promotion can help you reach more people and remain visible within your community.

Unsure where to get started? Here are 7 practical promotional ideas for small businesses looking to attract more local customers.

1. Maximise Local Visibility With a Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is one of the most valuable free promotional tools available to local businesses.

It is essentially your digital shopfront, allowing customers to find your business in loca Google searches and Google Maps when people look for nearby products or services. Your profile can display useful information including:

Your business name and contact details

Opening hours

Address or service area

Website

Customer reviews

Photographs

Products and services

The key to a successful Google Business profile is to remember that accuracy and detail are key. Make sure the information on your profile is accurate and complete. Adding new photos, publishing occasional updates and responding to reviews can also help keep your profile active.

2. Register With a Local Business Directory

Online business directories can help customers find trusted providers operating within their area. A listing in a well-maintained local directory signals trust and reliability for customers who are already on your doorstep!

Look for directories that are relevant to your location or sector. These could include local authority directories, chamber of commerce listings, industry membership websites and established community platforms.

Again, consistency here is king, so try to keep your business name, address, phone number and website consistent across every directory. Consistent details make your business look more professional and can support your local search visibility.

3. Advertise in a Local Magazine

Local magazine advertising can put your business directly in front of residents and organisations within the communities you want to serve.

Unlike a digital advert that may disappear after a few seconds, a printed magazine can remain in a home, office or local venue for weeks. This gives readers more opportunities to notice and respond to your message.

Wave Magazine is published every two months and distributes around 2,500 printed copies per issue across Waverley, Olive Lane, the Advanced Manufacturing Park and other nearby locations.

Advertising starts from £50 + VAT, with different advert sizes available to suit a range of small-business budgets.

When creating your advert, keep the message simple. Clearly explain:

What your business offers

Who you help

Where you operate

How readers can contact you

What you would like them to do next

4. Engage With People on Social Media

Social media gives small businesses an accessible way to build awareness, show their personality and communicate directly with potential customers.

Social media can be overwhelming for a new or small business. But, remember that you do not need to use every social media platform. Focus on the channels your customers are most likely to use and publish content consistently.

Unsure where to start with content? Useful content for a small business looking to grow could include:

Recent work or completed projects

New products or services

Customer reviews

Practical advice

Staff introductions

Behind-the-scenes photographs

Local news and community involvement

Each of these pieces of content are designed to establish a local voice and build relationships with potential new customers and clients.

If you’re not ready to dive into your own world of social media, why not partner with us at Wave Magazine?

Wave Magazine shares local business stories, news and magazine content across its social media channels every two months Becoming a Wave Magazine partner could help you gain additional visibility beyond the printed publication before starting your own platforms.

5. Attend Local Events

Networking sessions, markets, exhibitions and community events provide opportunities to introduce your business to people face to face. Especially when establishing yourself as a local business, getting involved in community or networking events helps businesses connect to their audience in an authentic and impactful way.

Take business cards or simple promotional materials, but focus on having meaningful conversations and building genuine local relationships for greater long-term value.

If there are no local events coming up in your area, there are lots of other ways to connect with the community. For example, you could also:

Sponsor a local event

Book an exhibition stand

Donate a competition prize

Host a workshop

Support a community group

Offer your venue for a local meeting

If you are a local sheffield business, why not take inspiration from the latest issue of Wave Magazine. We publish local events and community activities in each bi-monthly issue, helping residents discover what is happening across Waverley and the surrounding area.

6. Start a Newsletter or Use Email Marketing

Email marketing helps you stay in contact with people who have already shown an interest in your business.

Unlike social media, where platform algorithms influence who sees your content, an email newsletter is delivered directly to your subscribers. For many small businesses, one helpful email each month can be more effective than sending frequent messages with little value.

Your emails could include:

Business news

Special offers

Helpful advice

New products or services

Upcoming events

Seasonal reminders

Recent projects or case studies

7. Create a Recognisable Logo and Brand

Strong branding helps customers recognise your business across different marketing channels.

Your logo, colours, typefaces and visual style should remain consistent across your website, social media profiles, printed materials, uniforms, vehicles and advertisements.

A recognisable brand does not need to be complicated. It should simply reflect your business and make you look professional and trustworthy. Unsure where to start? Wave Magazine provides a graphic design service through Sheffield-based marketing agency Dialled In. Advert artwork is created free of charge for businesses booking space in at least two issues.

Promote Your Local Business With Wave Magazine

Wave Magazine helps businesses reach residents, employees and visitors across Waverley and the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

Published every two months, the magazine combines community news, local events, business stories and advertising in a publication delivered directly across the area.

Advertising starts from £50 + VAT, with repeat-booking discounts and complimentary graphic design available for businesses appearing in at least two issues.

Jude and the Book Factory started with a simple, generous idea from a four-year-old boy. In 2023, Jude began hiding his own once-loved books for other children to find, a small act of kindness that has grown into a charity carrying his name and his spirit. Jude died just a few months later, aged five, after more than two years of treatment for high-risk Neuroblastoma, a type of cancer.

Today, the charity works across three main areas. ‘Sharing Books’ sees brand-new children’s books donated to hospitals, hospices, and families affected by grief or childhood cancer. ‘Sparking Imagination’ funds creative workshops that give children space to explore storytelling and imagination. ‘Creating Moments’ involves curating goody bags for children affected by childhood cancer.

So far, the charity has donated over 8,400 brand new books, funded creative workshop places for more than 100 children, and curated hundreds of goody bags for families who need a little extra comfort and joy.

The charity also runs a Jude and the Book Factory Little Free Library, exclusively for children and young people, at St James Walk, Woodhouse Mill.

None of this would be possible without the local community’s support. From individual donations to businesses getting involved, every contribution helps the charity reach more children and families. The charity is always looking for new supporters, whether that’s through fundraising, book donations, or corporate partnerships.

If you’d like to get involved, the charity would love to hear from you.

Advertising in a local magazine like Wave Magazine can be an affordable way to put your business directly in front of people living and working in your target area. At Wave Magazine, we offer competitive prices for wide ranging online and print distribution, starting from just £50 + VAT.

Advertising rates with Wave can also be tailored to meet your business and advertising requirements. We offer a range of advert sizes and positions available to suit different businesses and budgets, from multiple pace features to business cards, there is an affordable and effective sport for every local business.

Price for many local publication also varies vastly in distribution circles. Wave Magazine distributes around 2,500 printed copies per issue. Copies are delivered to occupied homes across Waverley, businesses on Olive Lane, the Winter Green pub and organisations based across the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

Our mission is to provide businesses with a focused way to reach residents, employees and visitors within a growing South Yorkshire community whilst maintaining a competitive rate that keeps our service accessible.

What Affects Wave Magazine Advertising Rates?

When comparing advertising magazine rates, it is important to look beyond the headline price. Our prices vary for advertising placement for a number of reasons. The main factors that influence magazine advertising costs include:

1) Advert Size

Most local magazines offer several advert sizes, from smaller entry-level placements to full-page and double-page adverts.

Wave Magazine currently offers advertising options ranging from smaller adverts starting at £50 + VAT through to premium placements, full pages and double-page spreads.

A smaller advert can be a cost-effective way to introduce your business to the community, while a larger advert gives you more room to communicate your services, offers and contact details.

2) Position in the Magazine

Premium positions, such as the back cover, centre spread or front cover sponsorship, will usually have higher advertisement rates than adverts placed on standard internal pages.

These positions can provide stronger visibility, but a well-designed advert on an internal page can still create an effective and memorable presence.

3) One-Off or Repeat Advertising

Advertising today is rarely a one time activity. Repeat advertising placements can help build familiarity with a community of local readers, who learn to recognise and trust your brand

Someone may not require your service the first time they see your advert. However, regularly appearing in a trusted local publication can help your business remain front of mind when they are ready to p;ick up the phone or walk through your door.

Wave Magazine offers discounted magazines advertising rates for businesses that book space across multiple issues.

How Much Does It Cost to Advertise in Wave Magazine?

Wave Magazine advertising currently starts from £50 + VAT.

A selection of the available advertising rates includes:

Full-page advert: £170

Double-page advert: £300

Double-page centre spread: £320

Back cover: £220

Front cover sponsorship with two full internal pages: £450

Additional advert sizes and repeat-booking discounts are also available. Businesses should check the latest rate card before booking, as availability and prices may change. Check out our Advertising With Wave page for more details

Is Advert Design Included In Wave Magazine Rates?

Here at Wave Magazine, we want to see your business grow and thrive. This means ensuring that your business advert looks professional and captures your brand.

Local businesses who feature in at least two issues are offered professional graphic design support free of charge through Dialled In, the Sheffield-based marketing agency that publishes the magazine.

Businesses who place a one-off advert can also have access to design support at an additional fee.

Alternatively, all businesses are welcome to provide their own artwork and logos to full personalise their advertisement at no additional cost.

What Do You Get for Your Advertising Spend?

Wave Magazine is published every two months, producing six issues each year. Each publication is carefully curated, focusing on sharing quality on local news, community developments, businesses, events and stories from across Waverley and the surrounding area.

To ensure quality for our readership, at least 25% of each issue is reserved for editorial content. This helps maintain a balance between useful community information and advertising, whilst providing a high-quality space for businesses to reach the heart of our community.

Our success is reflected in the over 150+ local businesses we have been proud to work with. Afterall, 80% of Wave Magazine’s advertisers are regular advertisers who have continued appearing in the magazine over a number of years.

Advertise With Wave Magazine

Wave Magazine connects businesses with the growing residential and commercial community across Waverley and the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

With advertising rates starting from £50 + VAT, flexible advert sizes, discounts for repeat bookings and professional artwork support available, there are options for businesses at different stages of growth.

Local magazine advertising can provide several benefits for businesses targeting a defined geographical area.

In today’s busy world, customers rarely see a business once and decide to buy straight away.

They might spot an advert in a local magazine, see a post on social media, click through to a website, or receive an email, before they pick up the phone or walk through your door. Often, it is the combination of these touchpoints that builds trust, creates recognition, and encourages someone to reach out,

That is where multichannel marketing comes in.

What is multichannel marketing?

Multichannel marketing refers to businesses using more than one platform to reach their audience. This could include print advertising, social media, email marketing, websites, search engines, telesales, events, and more.

Rather than relying on one single route to market, a multichannel approach gives your business more opportunities to be seen, remembered, and chosen.

For local businesses, this can be especially powerful. Your customers are not all in one place. Some are scrolling online, some are reading local publications, some are searching on Google, and others are picking up recommendations from people in their area.

By combining different marketing channels, you can meet them in more of the places they already spend their time.

Why print and digital marketing work well together

At Wave Magazine, we have always believed in the power of print advertising for local businesses.

We have seen first-hand the value of being seen in a trusted local publication, delivered directly into the community you want to reach. Print gives your business a physical presence, helps build trust, and keeps your brand in front of local people in a way that feels natural and credible.

But print can work even harder when it is supported by digital marketing.

A local advert can introduce your business to a new customer, while social media, website content, email marketing or paid advertising can help keep that conversation going. Together, print and digital marketing create a stronger, more consistent presence.

That is the real strength of print and digital marketing, they do not need to compete with each other. When used well, they support each other.

Wave Magazine and Dialled In Marketing

Wow – what a rush! It’s been an incredibly exciting and busy start for the new Community Hub. We’ve welcomed two new team members, offered a full month of free hire, hosted BBC Radio Sheffield live on site, held the Annual Residents Meeting, and continued meeting and welcoming new groups into the Hub.

Waverley Community Hub

Our free month of Hub use proved a huge success, generating a fantastic response from both residents and hirers. Based on the feedback we received, we’ve also been recruiting a second caretaker to allow us to open for longer hours.

A heartfelt thank‑you to all groups who have used the Hub so far:
Snuggle and Sooth Baby Massage, SceNic Soul Yoga, Sound Serenity Jak, Early Help South, Lana’s Pilates, Mindful Minis Yoga and Craft Session, and Zumba.

We have also launched a youth club for the children of Waverley, with SJD Sports Coaching delivering sessions going forward. The Ward Councillors Baggaley and Adair kindly supported this with funding for the sessions and some games and play equipment.

BBC Radio Sheffield Live from the Hub

A big highlight this month was hosting BBC Radio Sheffield, which broadcast live from the Hub. With sunshine on Olive Lane, Paulette Edwards and the team chatted with a wide range of people across Waverley. Interviewees included Olive Lane businesses – Serve and The Canary Bar, the enthusiastic “mad dog walking team,” representatives from Waverley Christian Church, Waverley Wanderers Football Club, and Waverley Buds Community Garden Group, Brendan from our very own Wave Magazine, and even the Clerk to the WCC.

We especially appreciated those who joined in on the spot as they walked by – your stories of living and working in Waverley made the day truly special.

Annual Residents Meeting

We were delighted to host this year’s Annual Residents Meeting in the new Community Hub. Residents attending had the chance to ask questions, and chat with organisations including: Harworth, The Land Trust, CBRE, Arches Housing, Ward Councillor Baggaley, RMBC’s Parish Council & Neighbourhoods Liaison Officer, Wave Magazine and WCC members.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported open, face‑to‑face community dialogue.

Annual Great British Spring Clean

WCC proudly supported the Keep Britain Tidy – Great British Spring Clean campaign once again. Residents and councillors headed out across Waverley during the third weekend of March for a community litter pick.

It was a beautiful day to be outdoors caring for our green spaces – and together we collected over 30 bags of litter. Thank you to everyone who helped keep Waverley looking its best!

Waverley Fun Day 2026

Get ready – Fun Day 2026 is on the way! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, 20 June, 12–3 pm on Olive Lane. We’re planning a great selection of pop‑ups, activities, and events for all ages.

More details will be shared soon on our website and Facebook page.
If you’re interested in having a stall, please contact Claire at: info@waverley-cc.gov.uk

Waverley Train Station Update

In case you missed it, the Mayor of South Yorkshire Combined Authority, Oliver Coppard, recently unveiled a long‑term Transport Vision for the region. The plan focuses on creating a joined‑up, affordable public transport network serving every community, supported by £1.5bn of investment – £630m of which is earmarked for tram network renewal and £350m for bus reform.

Excitingly for us, the Vision includes the aim to deliver a Waverley Train Station in the 2030s. You can read the full announcement here:
www.southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk/news/article/south-yorkshire-peoples-network

Hi, I’m Ollie. Around four months ago, I took the exciting step of moving into my first home in Waverley with my fiancé. It’s a community I’m already proud to be part of. This April, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever done, the 2026 TCS London Marathon, and I’d love for you to be part of my journey.

Dementia has left a lasting mark on my family. I’m running in memory of my Great Nannan Doris and my Grandad Brian, both of whom lived with the condition. Witnessing their journeys showed me just how cruel and unrelenting dementia can be. But it also showed me the incredible strength of those who care for loved ones living with it. My Nannan Ann and my Grandma Janet gave everything, showing up with unwavering love and patience through every difficult stage.

This run is for them! For Great Nannan, Grandad, and the amazing people who stood by their side. But it’s also for every family that has faced the heartbreak of dementia, and for those who are still living through it today. All funds I raise will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society. They provide vital support, advice, and information to families when they need it most, helping people understand dementia and manage the many challenges that come with it. It’s important they can keep doing that for others in the future.

Training is well underway, and if you spot me running around Waverley, please do say hi it always helps to see a friendly face along the way! If you’d like to donate, you can find my fundraising page by scanning the QR code. You can also follow my training journey on Instagram at @ollie_brown_runs. Every contribution means the world to me. Thank you for reading, and for supporting a cause so close to my heart.

HBO has finally arrived in the UK, and with it comes a catalogue of television that, for years, has felt just slightly out of reach. While there are plenty of long-running series to get stuck into but what HBO arguably does better than anyone else is the limited series: a story told over a single, carefully planned run, with a clear ending in mind from the start.

If you’re looking for something gripping that won’t take over your life for the next six months, these are some of the very best places to start.

Chernobyl (2019)

If you’ve heard of one HBO limited series, it’s probably this. A dramatisation of the 1986 nuclear disaster that is as tense as anything you’ll find on television, despite the fact that we all know how it ends. What makes it so effective is its restraint. There are no cheap thrills here, just a slow, creeping sense of dread as the scale of the disaster becomes clear. It’s meticulous, unsettling, and quietly devastating.

The Night Of (2016)

What begins as a seemingly straightforward crime story quickly becomes something far more complex. A single night leads to a murder accusation, and from there the series explores the long, grinding reality of the justice system. It’s less about solving the case and more about what happens to a person once they’re caught inside it, and the main players, Riz Ahmed and John Tutorro, really develop that sense of humanity through all the twists and turns.

Patient, detailed, and deeply absorbing.

Angels in America (2003)

Adapted from the acclaimed stage play, this is a series that leans into its theatrical roots. Set during the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, it blends politics, identity, and surreal imagery in a way that feels both ambitious and deeply personal. The performances are exceptional, and its themes remain strikingly relevant.

Mare of Easttown (2021)

On the surface, this is a small-town murder mystery. In reality, it’s something much richer. The series is just as interested in its characters as it is in the case itself: their histories, their relationships, and the quiet pressures of living in a place where everyone knows everyone. Kate Winslet is excellent throughout, and the whole thing feels grounded in a way that most crime dramas never quite manage.

Sharp Objects (2018)

A slow, unsettling psychological drama that showcases some of the best work that Amy Adams has to offer, and that says a lot. One of the real strengths of this is how it lingers long after it finishes-the story of a journalist returns to her hometown to cover a series of murders is one we’ve all seen before. Here, though, the real story lies in everyone reliving their past and working through the truth and lies they tell each other and themselves. It’s deliberately paced, almost hypnotic at times, and builds an atmosphere that is constantly just slightly off. Not one to binge lightly, but incredibly effective if you give it your full attention.

Band of Brothers (2001)

Arguably the greatest TV show ever made, and certainly one of the most ambitious war dramas ever made. Following a group of paratrooper soldiers through the Second World War from their training to the end of their involvement, it balances large-scale action with deeply personal storytelling. The battles are intense, but it’s the relationships between the men that give the series its emotional weight, driven, in part, by the knowledge that these are real stories based on the lives of real people. Over twenty years on, it remains essential viewing.

From the Earth to the Moon (1998)

As we finish writing this article. NASA are sending a crew to orbit the Moon for the first time in over 50 years. So what better time to revisit this masterpiece: a fascinating look at NASA’s Apollo missions, told across a series of episodes that each explore a different part of the journey to the moon. There’s a real sense of admiration here for the people involved, both the astronauts and the thousands working behind the scenes, who provide a reminder of just how extraordinary those achievements were.

The Plot Against America (2020)

An alternative history that imagines a very different political direction for the United States. Rather than focusing on grand events, the series stays grounded in the experience of one family, showing how quickly everyday life can shift under changing circumstances. It’s quiet, measured, and all the more unsettling because of how plausible it feels, especially if you’re a history buff.

Watchmen (2019)

Perhaps the most divisive on this list, but certainly the most under-appreciated. This isn’t a straightforward adaptation, but a bold expansion of the original graphic novel’s world. You won’t need to have read the source material, or even the film adaptation of it, as this show takes familiar ideas and uses them to explore contemporary themes around race, power, and history. At times, it asks quite a lot of its audience, but it rewards that attention with something genuinely thoughtful and distinctive, with an astonishing denouement that features one of the best constructed endings in recent memory.

Medical Centre

The NHS have advised that they are working towards a summer opening of the Olive Lane Medical Centre. This will be a great addition to Waverley and Olive Lane. We are now working with a potential pharmacy occupier to complement the medical centre and complete the occupation of Olive Lane.

Highwall Park

Highwall Park is progressing well with phase 1 set to open in April, and phase 2 will follow in the Summer. The play area is designed to feel like an extension of the natural landscape, with wooden play equipment and natural materials used where possible. We hope that everyone will enjoy this new family facility.

Parking at and around Olive Lane

We have recently installed signage on parts of Stephenson Way and Lescar Road due to the issues arising from parked vehicles on this part of the road. All areas are clearly signposted.

Enforcement is now live; any vehicles parked on or near the signed areas will be fined and there will be no exemptions. Please read the signs carefully. We encourage drivers to park in either the Olive Lane car park or the overflow car park at the bottom of Stephenson Way. It is still free to park in both car parks for 2.5 hours.

Despite the ample parking that has been provided, we have had no choice but to enforce parking in these areas due to the problems parking here has caused other residents, Olive Lane visitors and buses, which on a number of occasions have not been able to get through on their usual route.

We are currently working with Excel Parking to amend the parking limitations at both car parks to allow for additional paid parking, and as soon as we have a go-live date for this, we will communicate this out.

Once again, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation on this matter.

We look forward to welcoming you to Olive Lane soon. If you have any queries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. For any queries regarding fine please contact Excel directly, as we have no powers to assist with these.
