Hi, I’m Ollie. Around four months ago, I took the exciting step of moving into my first home in Waverley with my fiancé. It’s a community I’m already proud to be part of. This April, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever done, the 2026 TCS London Marathon, and I’d love for you to be part of my journey.
Dementia has left a lasting mark on my family. I’m running in memory of my Great Nannan Doris and my Grandad Brian, both of whom lived with the condition. Witnessing their journeys showed me just how cruel and unrelenting dementia can be. But it also showed me the incredible strength of those who care for loved ones living with it. My Nannan Ann and my Grandma Janet gave everything, showing up with unwavering love and patience through every difficult stage.
This run is for them! For Great Nannan, Grandad, and the amazing people who stood by their side. But it’s also for every family that has faced the heartbreak of dementia, and for those who are still living through it today. All funds I raise will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society. They provide vital support, advice, and information to families when they need it most, helping people understand dementia and manage the many challenges that come with it. It’s important they can keep doing that for others in the future.
Training is well underway, and if you spot me running around Waverley, please do say hi it always helps to see a friendly face along the way! If you’d like to donate, you can find my fundraising page by scanning the QR code. You can also follow my training journey on Instagram at @ollie_brown_runs. Every contribution means the world to me. Thank you for reading, and for supporting a cause so close to my heart.
